The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, defended this Saturday the need to bring "more opportunities, freedom, and prosperity" to the southern area of the region, while calling for an end to policies that, in her opinion, are "a burden and a disaster," advocating for "low taxes and helping the self-employed and workers."
Ayuso delivered this message in Getafe, a municipality chosen by the Madrid PP to inaugurate the new political course, at an event where she was accompanied by the national leader of the party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and by the 'popular' candidate for the Mayor’s office and head of the party in the locality, Antonio José Mesa.
"We have chosen Getafe this time, the south of the Community, because it is an area we bet on enormously, first because it is a motor of liberal, free policies, gentlemen of the left, free which means low taxes, helping the self-employed and workers and stopping living off subsidies," emphasized the regional leader.
The president pointed out that she hopes that, in the specific case of Getafe, Mesa will promote "more freedom, future, and great events" with the goal of placing all of southern Madrid "without complexes, at the highest level." In her view, certain municipalities are harmed when they are "in the hands of certain policies that have proven to be a burden, a disaster, and above all try to colonize everything public," something that, she stated, is "exactly what happens in Getafe," governed by the socialist mayor Sara Hernández.
At this beginning of a course that she has described as "especially decisive for Spain," Ayuso stated that she does not intend to waste "a single day" to "denounce the delirious government" of Pedro Sánchez, whom she accuses of "transforming the nation of all" for the exclusive benefit of his "totalitarian project," which she describes as "a re-edition of the Popular Front that already had terrible consequences."
For his part, Antonio José Mesa has highlighted the "virtues and enormous potential" of Getafe against a mayor whom he has defined as "the delegate of sanchismo" in the city and who, while Sánchez "mistreats" the State Security Forces in Ceuta, she "does the same" with the Local Police.
"It has placed us as the city, and it pains me to say it, the most unsafe in the south of Madrid. I am not going to allow Getafe to continue leading the insecurity rankings. That is why my absolute priority will be for my neighbors to enjoy quiet streets and neighborhoods again," concluded Mesa.
