The counselor of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Community of Madrid, Mariano de Paco, has described the appointment of the Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, as a "patch" to coordinate the central Government in the crisis opened in Ceuta after the massive entry of migrants recorded a few weeks ago.
As 'El Periódico' has advanced and sources from the Ministry of Territorial Policy have confirmed to Europa Press, the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has decided to turn to Ángel Víctor Torres to soon assume the role of coordinator of this migratory crisis in the Autonomous City.
In recent days, both the president of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, and the Popular Party have been demanding a single command from the Executive to face the situation. In this regard, De Paco has maintained that the central Government is "out of control" and "does not have a roadmap," which, in his opinion, generates a "chaos that all citizens" and "all administrations are suffering." Furthermore, he has accused the Executive of "shifting responsibilities to others."
"They keep putting patches, they keep changing responsible ministers and they are increasingly exacerbating a problem that directly impacts the safety of all citizens of this country, of all those who visit us and also on the image, because the image of Spain is being greatly undervalued," he has stated.
