The parliamentary groups of PSOE, IU-Convocatoria por Asturias and the deputy of the Mixed Group, Covadonga Tomé, have started the ordinary Plenary of this Tuesday by observing a minute of silence in memory of Maricarmen, following what was previously agreed in the Board of Spokespersons.
In contrast to this decision, the benches of PP, Vox, and Foro Asturias have positioned themselves against the proposal and have decided not to remain in the Hemicycle during the tribute.
With this gesture, PSOE, IU, and Tomé wanted to pay tribute to Maricarmen, the 87-year-old woman who lost her life shortly after being evicted from what had been her home for seven decades in Madrid.
