The Socialist Parliamentary Group has pointed out this Tuesday to the Popular and Vox groups as responsible for what happens to the agricultural sector of Castilla y León in the current crisis situation "which has worsened even more" and for which it has again demanded exceptional measures through a fund of 150 million euros that complements the one approved by the central Government.
"You cannot continue looking the other way during all these weeks, you have no right to look the other way," warned the socialist representative Miguel Ángel Blanco, who reproached PP and Vox for remaining waiting "for someone to do something" and "for everything to pass," despite the fact that the Junta is the administration with the competencies in agriculture.
"Are the Popular Party and Vox so involved that the worse, the better, to let even the primary sector of our Community fall? Is that what you really want, for the primary sector that underpins the Community of Castilla y León to end up falling?" Blanco posed to the groups that support the regional Executive, to whom he asked to reflect until tomorrow and support the socialist motion of 14 points, which he defined as "transmission belt" of the OPAs.
In the same line, he censured that the president of the Junta of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, continues without meeting with the representatives of the professional agricultural organizations, who have urgently requested a meeting with the head of the regional Executive.
"The countryside has been in crisis for many years," replied the PP representative Rosa Esteban, who reproached the PSOE for presenting "as a great novelty" proposals that, in some cases, are already underway. "You are the face of the failure of Sánchez's agricultural policies and the Socialist Party," concluded the 'popular' parliamentarian, who criticized the "hard face" of the PSOE for now registering the same measures that, in her opinion, the central Government has failed to implement.
"What has already been executed is the Ministry of Agriculture, which has already put those 150 million on the table, and you, of the 30, zero. That is the reality," Blanco replied in his second turn of intervention.
Rosa Esteban has defended that the Board maintains dialogue and meetings with agricultural professional organizations and has demanded a state policy that addresses the structural problems of the countryside in a real way. "We do not want farmers to live on aid, we want the farmer to be able to live from their exploitation and to live from the exploitation, profitability is fundamental, which is what saves them," she has argued.
"The countryside does not need speeches, it needs a serious agricultural policy, because the problem is structural in agriculture and is not resolved solely with extraordinary aid, it is resolved with profitability," the PP spokesperson has reiterated, who has celebrated that the PSOE acknowledges that the tax reduction benefits farmers and ranchers.
For the Vox Group, the spokesperson Miguel Contreras has claimed the management of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Environment and Environmental Policy, in the hands of Santiago Abascal's party in the Government of Castilla y León, with three measures of flexibility, and has supported the need to adapt the CAP to the countryside "and not the countryside to the offices in Brussels."
"Less lessons and more memory. Do not present yourselves today as saviors of a countryside that has been asking you for years for exactly the opposite of what you have created," the Vox spokesperson has reproached the socialists, to whom he has proposed modifying the text of the motion, a proposal that has been rejected by the authors of the initiative.
From the Mixed Group, the Leónist spokesperson Rosa María Quintanilla has supported the PSOE motion despite considering it "unbearably dense" and for mixing "chaotically" issues that range "from an extraordinary fund for fertilizers to Newcastle disease." "If you found our proposal dense, you must have found the Vox amendment grating on all sides," Blanco replied in his second intervention.
"What luck for everyone to have three defenders of the countryside like PP, PSOE, and Vox!" the Sorian Ángel Ceña has ironically remarked, putting the finishing touch to the parliamentary debate.
