The deputy of the PP for Zaragoza, Pedro Navarro López, will present his resignation from the seat in Congress this Monday "for professional reasons" and thus close a career of more than two decades in active politics. At the same time, he will leave the organic positions he held within the Popular Party, according to sources from the party itself who indicated this Saturday to Europa Press.
Since July 2025, Navarro has served as the head of the Vice-Secretariat of Organization of the PP of Aragón and of the Secretariat of Transparency and Good Governance in the national leadership of the party. His departure from the political sphere is a decision that he would have already communicated to the popular leadership.
In his new professional stage, he will join the public affairs consultancy Vinces, where he will take over the direction of the delegation that the firm will launch in Aragón, according to information published today by "El Heraldo".
Born in Zaragoza in 1977 and graduated in Law from the University of Zaragoza, Pedro Navarro has held responsibilities in different administrations. He was a deputy in the Cortes of Aragón between 2007 and 2011 and, later, a councilor in the City Council of Zaragoza between 2011 and 2019.
He later made the leap to state politics and obtained a seat in Congress for the Zaragoza constituency. In the general elections of July 2023, he was listed as the head of the PP list for this province.
The seat that Pedro Navarro leaves vacant will likely be occupied by the next candidate on the electoral list, Mireia Bondía, current mayor of Maella. In addition to this change, the Popular Party retains the deputies Luis María Beamonte and Raúl Cuevas for Zaragoza.
