Airbus and the labor organizations reached this Friday a principle of understanding to unblock the labor conflict they had open, after an urgent meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism. Among those present at the meeting were Minister Jordi Hereu and the CEO of the aerospace multinational, Guillaume Faury.

"It is a magnificent principle of agreement in which workers win in their salary and labor conditions, while ensuring the competitiveness and industrial viability of Airbus Spain," Hereu himself pointed out in statements to the media once the meeting ended, also highlighting the "capacity of social dialogue to generate great agreements that provide stability and allow attracting more industrial load" to the country.

The meeting at Industry took place after the conclusion of the second mediation table held before the SIMA, which had ended without definitive results.

Last Tuesday, the Secretary of State for Industry, Jordi García Brustenga, had already anticipated that the Government, or the minister himself, would intervene as mediators if the conflict did not register significant advances.
