Surus has launched an electronic public auction of more than 3.23 million liters of fuel stored in tax warehouses, with starting prices beginning at 0.66 euros per liter, the company announced this Tuesday.
These volumes, located in the port terminals of Bilbao and Motril, are offered through the specialized portal Escrapalia in six independent lots. Together, they have a minimum valuation of 2,241,203 euros and starting prices authorized by the judicial authority: from 0.66 euros/liter for 95 octane gasoline and 0.70 euros/liter for diesel A.
The complete fuel package is sold under the formula of the right of withdrawal in a suspensive regime through the EMCS system (Excise Movement and Control System), which exempts the buyer from advancing the Hydrocarbon Tax, Surus details in a note.
The operation also incorporates the advantage that the successful bidder will not incur storage costs, and fees of 1.50 euros/m3 for loading, 1 euro/m3 for transfer, and 1.40 euros/m3 for diesel additivation or 1.75 euros/m3 in the case of gasoline will apply.
The online bidding for these six lots of fuel will remain open on Escrapalia until November 12, 2026. To participate, it is mandatory to have a valid Activity and Establishment Code (CAE), complete the registration on the platform, and provide a prior deposit of 5,000 euros to be able to submit bids in each of the two previous events.
After the award and payment of the corresponding amount, the buyer will have an administrative window from November 16 to 25 to process the registration with the terminal and validate the file before the withdrawals, which will take place between December 2 and 23, 2026, the company specifies.
In the port terminal of Bilbao, the largest lot is concentrated, with 2,662,795 liters of diesel A. To facilitate participation and logistics for truck loading, this volume has been divided into four homogeneous lots of about 665,000 liters each, with a starting price of 0.70 euros/liter (from 465,989 euros per lot).
In the Motril Haxx terminal, 565,054 liters are offered distributed in two batches according to the type of product: the first includes 107,728 liters of diesel A, with a minimum price of 0.70 euros/liter (75,410 euros), and the second groups 457,326 liters of 95 gasoline with a starting price of 0.66 euros/liter (301,835 euros).
From Surus, they emphasize that this auction represents an "excellent window of opportunity" for wholesale oil operators, hydrocarbon distributors, independent and 'low-cost' service station networks, agricultural cooperatives, and large logistics transport fleets.
