Lotteries and State Betting has launched for the draw of the National Lottery on Thursday, August 20, a special ticket dedicated to the Spanish Diabetes Federation (FEDE), on the occasion of the celebration of its 40th anniversary. The ticket incorporates the image of the entity's logo and the slogan "40 years making diabetes visible."

For this National Lottery draw next Thursday, 6 million tickets have been issued, available at the usual points of sale of Lotteries and State Betting. In total, the draw will distribute 12.6 million euros in prizes, including a first prize of 300,000 euros per series and a second prize of 60,000 euros per series.

With this commemorative issuance, Lotteries aims to pay tribute to all the people who, over these four decades, have dedicated their efforts to the prevention, research, and education of patients regarding this chronic disease.

From the Spanish Diabetes Federation, they have expressed their gratitude for the visibility that this initiative brings on such a symbolic date for the organization. "It is a pride for us that the National Lottery dedicates a ticket to our 40th anniversary, in addition to being a great opportunity to give visibility to diabetes in all corners of Spain," stated the acting president of FEDE, Juantxo Remón.

Four decades of support for those living with diabetes

In this context, FEDE has emphasized that, since its foundation in 1986, it has carried out a continuous work of raising awareness and accompanying people living with diabetes, contributing to improving their quality of life and promoting social awareness in Spain, as well as strengthening the collaboration and commitment of public administrations.

During this year, the federation has launched a specific communication campaign to commemorate this anniversary and highlight the advances made in patient rights over these 40 years. The campaign will involve the participation of former leaders and people closely linked to FEDE, and will have its first major milestone at the X National Congress of FEDE, which will be held in Valladolid on September 25 and 26.
