At least six people have been injured this Friday in an attack by the Israeli Army in the vicinity of Hosh al Sayed Ali, a Syrian locality located next to the border with Lebanon, according to Lebanese authorities.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health has indicated in a statement, disseminated by the state agency NNA, that an "Israeli attack in the vicinity" of that population has left six injured, five of them of Syrian nationality and one Lebanese.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed that they carried out an operation in the border area between Syria and Lebanon against "a Syrian terrorist who was promoting terrorist plans in Syria under the direction of the Iranian terrorist regime."

The suspect has been identified as Yusuf Ali al Hasson. The Israeli Army attributes to him the preparation of attacks against "Israeli civilians and IDF forces operating in southern Syria" supposedly following instructions from Tehran.

According to the military statement, "during the last year, Al Hasson promoted terrorist plans against IDF forces -- which were thwarted -- that included the launching of explosive drones and rockets against our troops in southern Syria," before reiterating its support for the agreement to end hostilities in Lebanon.
