The Iranian Executive has pointed out this Saturday to certain officials of the United States Government as architects of a "great operation" aimed at distorting energy markets, using President Donald Trump as cover, with the backing of media and "actors aligned with Israel," to obtain economic benefits at the expense, ultimately, of American consumers.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, has spread on social media that the country's Intelligence "has observed a great operation to manipulate energy markets."

According to Araqchi, this maneuver would be carried out by "elements of the U.S. government" who "use credulous media to influence prices for their own benefit and keep the president trapped in a lost war," as he has stated in a message published on his official accounts.

The head of Iranian diplomacy has not specified identities in this accusation, made at the end of a week in which the U.S. Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, announced a trade offensive to cut any funding routes for Iran and threatened sanctions against all countries that continue to maintain trade relations with the Islamic Republic, including China, within the so-called 'Economic D-Day,' whose objective is to achieve total isolation of the Iranian economy.
