The Ministry of Defense of Israel confirmed this Wednesday the signing of an agreement to acquire twelve Apache attack helicopters from the United States, whose delivery is scheduled to be staggered over the next ten years.
In an official note, the department specified that the aircraft correspond to the "Echo" variant, considered the most recent and sophisticated version of this model of combat helicopter.
"The acquisition of the Apache helicopters is a critical step in the buildup of the IDF forces, which will strengthen their operational capabilities against a wide range of threats and contribute to the security of the State of Israel in the coming years," stated the Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz.
