The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated this Thursday that the country has "removed the threat" from Iran, but that now its goal is to "overthrow" the "regime" of Tehran, emphasizing that it is not an "impossible" mission.
During an event held alongside the military leadership and the Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, on the occasion of the upcoming Yom Kippur celebrations, the conservative leader insisted that the Islamic Republic "is currently staggering" and "weaker than ever."
"It is fighting for its life, and I am convinced of our main mission, of our capability, as well as the capability of our internal front and our strong people," he noted, stressing that the priority task must now be to "overthrow" the system of the ayatollahs.
"I am convinced that we can eliminate this threat once and for all. That is, to overthrow that regime. This is the main mission that we still have ahead of us, but it is close and not impossible. It is within our reach," he added.
Netanyahu cited as a demonstration of Israel's strength the fact that Iran has not attacked its territory directly again, after a series of offensives at the beginning of the war, in March, which Tehran has subsequently limited to responses within its regional environment.
"They attack everyone, but not us. They know our strength, the power of our arm and our determination. I tell our enemies: do not mess with us," he warned, insisting that Israel has "the strength, the determination, and the internal unity necessary to defeat them."
These words come after Katz himself warned that the Israeli Army "will be free of ties" if Iran launches an attack, and threatened to push the Central Asian country "back to the Stone Age" through strikes against "all military and civilian infrastructure."
