The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has once again issued a warning to Iran about a possible bombing against Mount Kolang, also known as Pickaxe, after speculation has increased that part of Iran's highly enriched uranium reserves, a material that can be used for both civilian purposes and the manufacture of nuclear weapons if it reaches a purity of 90% or higher, is stored in this complex.
"Iran will not have a nuclear weapon. We have prevented it from having one. It is possible that we will attack Pickaxe very soon," the U.S. leader stated in brief remarks to the media at the White House, where he once again described the standoff with Tehran as a "military conflict" that is "small potatoes," when compared to Venezuela or Vietnam.
The Iranian Executive has flatly rejected that there are "nuclear activities" in the area, and asserts that it is "a fabricated pretext for aggression, destruction, and sabotage," despite repeated suspicions from Washington and the Government of Israel.
The mountain is located in the center of the country, just a kilometer from the Natanz nuclear complex, Iran's main uranium enrichment plant, which was bombed by the United States and Israel in 2025 and 2026.
The underground facilities were reported in 2020 by Iran to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to which they communicated that their purpose would be the assembly of centrifuges, after an alleged act of sabotage carried out in July 2020 against a building located within the Natanz complex.
