The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, met this Thursday in Brussels with the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, where he argued that if Spain adopted the political model applied in Italy, the country would be "stronger and more respected." The meeting took place in the community capital, within the framework of the international agenda of the Vox leader.

In a message disseminated on the social network X after the meeting, Abascal emphasized that "the West is going through a decisive moment and Europe cannot continue to be governed from resignation," while he described his conversation with Meloni as "fruitful," to whom he again referred as his "friend." As the president of Vox stressed, "Italy chose another path and today is a stronger and more respected nation. Spain can also choose it."

The meeting with the head of the Italian government comes just a day after Abascal held another meeting in Brussels with the former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the Czech Prime Minister, Andrej Babis, and the leader of National Rally, Marine Le Pen, who expressed her support for him ahead of the general elections scheduled for November 29.

Furthermore, during his stay in the European capital, the president of Vox participated in a joint session with leaders of Patriots for Europe, in which they discussed "shared priorities regarding border control, security, economic competitiveness, and national sovereignty." In this meeting, the attendees focused on coordinating their positions in these key areas.
