The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, stated this Thursday that the situation facing Ceuta reflects what "the future holds" for Spain, citing "insecurity, rapes, looting, imported diseases, devastated public health, and massive squatting," and has urged action to prevent it.
In a post on his profile on the social network X, Abascal described Ceuta as "perhaps, now, the most advanced Spain." In his opinion, "its present will be the tomorrow of many cities in our homeland: insecurity, rapes, looting, imported diseases, devastated public health, massive squatting," relating this scenario to the consequences of the massive influx of immigrants from Morocco.
The leader of Vox has insisted that Ceuta is part of Spain and has warned that "those who have sold and mistreated it will have to pay for their betrayal and make way for those who can guarantee another future." At the same time, he emphasized that his party is committed to working to prevent the situation that the autonomous city is experiencing from being reproduced in the rest of the country.
