The Minister of Health and leader of Más Madrid, Mónica García, has demanded to act with "forcefulness" against Morocco after the recent migratory crisis in Ceuta, emphasizing that the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaska, has already provided the appropriate explanations regarding the police report related to the massive entry of migrants.
In statements to the media in the corridors of Congress, after the appearance this Thursday of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, García has highlighted that the head of the Executive has shown willingness to "rearrange" the relationship with Rabat depending on the information that becomes known.
In this sense, she has stressed that it is necessary to act with "rigor" and adhere to the facts, avoiding interested interpretations and "calls to hatred from the right," but without renouncing a firm stance with Morocco.
"We are proud to have been forceful against Trump and against Netanyahu, we need the same forcefulness with Trump's partner. It is impossible to think that 80,000 people have entered without the responsibility that they have the keys to the door. One of two, either you left it open or you opened it, and those responsibilities will have to be resolved," she added.
When asked about Marlaska's continuity in the Ministry of the Interior, the Health official has maintained that her colleague in the Council of Ministers has already provided explanations, although she insisted that there is a responsibility of Morocco "by action or omission."
Finally, she has reproached the PP and Vox for having once again resorted in this plenary session to the politics of "flamethrowers and hatred." "There is no Spanish flag or yacht that goes to Ceuta to eat prawns that hides Mr. Feijóo's inability to propose a single solution," she concluded.
