The Federal Committee of the PSOE, meeting this Saturday at the "Tomás y Valiente" Art Center in Fuenlabrada, has given the final approval to the candidacies with which it will run for the Congress of Deputies. Thus, the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Milagros Tolón, is ratified as the head of the list for the province of Toledo, and the Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, as number 1 for Ciudad Real.
With this decision, Ferraz endorses the proposals submitted by the Provincial Committees, as is the case in the province of Cuenca, where the provincial secretary of the PSOE, Luis Carlos Sahuquillo, will occupy the first place on the candidacy.
The federal leadership of the Socialist Party has also validated the lists of Guadalajara and Albacete, although introducing variations regarding those initially proposed by the provincial leaderships.
In Albacete, the current senator, Amparo Torres, will head the PSOE ballot for Congress, sidelining the provincial proposal that last Wednesday placed Emilio Sáez as number 1.
In Guadalajara, the federal leadership has opted to swap the heads of the list for Congress and the Senate in relation to the proposal of the provincial Committee. Thus, the current mayor of Sigüenza, María Jesús Merino, will be number 1 for Congress in place of Rafael Esteban, who will lead the candidacy for the Upper House.
In the province of Ciudad Real, Isabel Rodríguez repeats as number 1 for Congress and will be accompanied by Julián Nieva, who joins for the first time as number 2 on these lists. Cristina López Zamora will continue as number 3, followed by Santiago Martín Campos, a historic mayor of Anchuras and an independent candidate integrated into the socialist list. María Montes Sánchez will close the candidacy.
For the Senate in Ciudad Real, the PSOE places Rosa Melchor, mayor of Alcázar de San Juan since 2015 and in her third term, as number one, along with Pedro Antonio Palomo Mata, mayor of Carrizosa, as number two, and María del Carmen Ballesteros Vélez, mayor of Castellar de Santiago, as number three.
Sergio Gutiérrez, second on the list for Toledo
Minister Milagros Tolón will be accompanied in the candidacy for Congress by Toledo by Sergio Gutiérrez Prieto, followed by Cristina Cebas Gregorio, Alberto Hernández Garrobo, Irene Carmena Díaz, and Fran Cuadrado Arellano.
Regarding the Senate for Toledo, the list is headed by the mayor of Illescas, José Manuel Tofiño, with María Luisa Rodríguez García in second place and Nacho Hernández Rodríguez as number three.
Sahuquillo leads the list for Congress for Cuenca
The provincial secretary of the PSOE of Cuenca, Luis Carlos Sahuquillo, will lead the candidacy of the socialist representatives from Cuenca to the Congress of Deputies, as agreed by the Provincial Committee of the PSOE of Cuenca.
The current national deputy will be accompanied in second place by Yolanda Rozalén, from the Local Group of Cuenca, while the third position will be for the mayor of Torrubia del Campo, Pedro Romeral.
Regarding the Upper Chamber, the candidacy for Cuenca will be headed by the mayor of Tarancón, José Manuel López Carrizo, who will have Montserrat Poyatos, mayor of Cañete, as number two, and Emilio José Osma, councilor of the City Council of El Provencio, as number three.
Torres consolidates in Congress and Isabel Belén moves to the Senate
In the province of Albacete, senator Amparo Torres will be the head of the PSOE list for Congress, as established by the Federal Committee.
Alongside her, the candidacy for Congress is completed with Javier Navarro as number two, Lucía Carreres in the third position, and Eliseo Fernández closing the list.
In the Senate for Albacete, "Isabel Belén Iniesta" will head the socialist candidacy, accompanied by Francho Tierraseca as number two and Rosario Herrera in third place.
The mayor of Azuqueca, number 2 for Guadalajara
In the province of Guadalajara, the mayor of Sigüenza, María Jesús Merino, will be number 1 for Congress and will be accompanied by the current mayor of Azuqueca de Henares, Miguel Óscar Aparicio, as number 2, and Margarita Morera in the third position.
After the readjustment agreed by the Federal Committee, Rafael Esteban will head the list for the Senate for Guadalajara, supported by Mercedes Gómez and Daniel Jiménez Díaz.
