The PSOE will receive 95% of the electoral subsidies corresponding to the coalition with Frente Amplio for the Senate elections, while the remaining 5% will be distributed among the other parties that make up the joint candidacy, according to the agreement establishing the coalition. According to the Ministry of Finance, in the general elections on the upcoming November 29, 21,167.64 euros will be paid for each seat obtained in the Senate and 32 cents for each vote obtained by the candidate who manages to secure the position. The document, which Europa Press has accessed, also specifies that, in any case, the electoral expenses will be reimbursed based on what each political party has contributed, respecting the same monetary amounts contributed. In political terms, the signatories of the coalition assert that they share the need to return to the Senate the role of territorial Chamber granted by the Constitution and seek to form a "progressive majority," defend democracy, and "ensure that progress continues in rights, freedoms, equality, and social justice." "Our commitment is that the Senate responds to the interests of the citizens, not to partisan use," the agreement states. Regarding the organization and functioning of the coalition, the pact establishes a Parity Commission as the governing and coordinating body for monitoring its compliance. This commission will also be the only legitimate avenue to share agreements and resolve potential conflicts among the different parties in the coalition, and its decisions will be binding for all formations. That same parity commission is the one that will propose the electoral program, which must be approved by the different formations, and the candidacies that are presented in the various Provincial Electoral Boards and that have previously been approved by the party leaderships. 45 CONSTITUENCIES WITH THE ACRONYM SDP The coalition agreement is signed by seven parties --PSOE, Izquierda Unida (IU), Movimiento Sumar (MS), Más Madrid (MM), Compromís, Chunta Aragonesista (CHA), and Batzarre, from Navarra-- and will apply in a total of 45 constituencies of the Upper Chamber. The list excludes Catalonia and the Canary Islands, where each formation will go separately, and the Balearic Islands, where they will share another distinct coalition. The general designation will be 'Senado de Progreso' with the acronym SDP, although in each territory a parenthesis will be added to mention the members in each constituency. In the specific case of Ceuta, although the agreement includes the designation 'Senado de Progreso' and the acronym SDP (PSOE-IU-MS), the electoral symbol incorporated into the pact includes the designation 'Por Ceuta,' without logos from any party. IN BALEARES, EACH ISLAND VARIES Regarding the Balearic Islands, a coalition has been registered for each island, and the distribution of subsidies varies in each constituency based on the members of the coalition. In Mallorca, where the socialists share an alliance with Mès, Sumar, and Esquerra Unida (IU), the campaign budget and, at the time, the subsidies are distributed 70% for the PSIB and 30% for the nationalists of Mès, with neither Sumar nor IU receiving anything. In Menorca, the coalition partners are different, and in addition to PSOE and Mès, Esquerra Unida and Podemos are included, with the following distribution of income: 62.6% for the socialists, 25% for Més per Menorca, 12.5% for IU, and 10% for the purples. Regarding Ibiza, the largest coalition, the distribution of subsidies is as follows: 60% for the socialists and 10% for each of the remaining partners: Sumar, IU, Podemos, and the local formation Ara Eivissa. Finally, in Formentera, which debuts as a separate constituency in these elections and where the PSOE runs in coalition for the Senate along with the local formation Gent and with Sumar, the distribution is different: 47% of the income for the socialists, another 47% for Gent per Formentera, and the remaining 6% for Movimiento Sumar, one of the members of Frente Amplio.
