The secretary of the Socialist Parliamentary Group and representative for Valladolid, Pedro González, has denounced that in Castilla and León about 110,000 unpaid overtime hours are carried out each month, a situation that, in his opinion, reflects a serious labor problem in the autonomous community. At the same time, he has questioned the reliability of the analysis on absenteeism that the Minister of Industry, Universities, Employment, and Commerce, Juan Carlos Suárez-Quiñones, intends to promote.
"That thing about touching the employers' association, you don't see it very well, do you?", Pedro González has ironized, who has directly pointed to the national president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, whom he blames for having put the "wet dream" of the mutuals to control sick leave for common contingencies "on a platter."
The socialist leader has reminded that, "According to your boss --Núñez Feijóo-- if you are sick, you have to prove that you are sick enough, is that rigor?", thus questioning Suárez-Quiñones and linking these words with some of the judicial resolutions that affected the minister in his previous term at the head of the Ministry of the Environment. "You shouldn't be there today, you know it, you should have been dismissed," González concluded, to which the minister replied accusing him of lacking courage in formulating his control questions and mixing different debates.
In his response, Suárez-Quiñones defended that the Junta of Castilla and León maintains absolute respect for the courts, for those who comprise them, and for the resolutions they issue, which he assured are applied rigorously, "unlike you," he reproached the PSOE. "You criticize the sentences, which is legitimate, but you criticize the judges who issue them. Not only that, but it seems that your sewers around you were preparing acts of violence, supposedly, against the holders, a criminalization that the judges will determine if it is true and how it should respond," the minister emphasized.
