Piensin, a brand specialized in life insurance and family protection by Globalfinanz, has analyzed the prices of life insurance from the main insurance companies in October 2026. The comparison examines how premiums vary according to age, the insured capital, and the contracted coverages, and shows that the cheapest company is not always the same.

For insurance that exclusively covers death and a capital of 100,000 euros, ASISA Vida presents the lowest price at 30 years old, with 31.58 euros annually. AXA leads the comparison at 40, 50, and 60 years old, with 49.40, 155.40, and 429.50 euros annually, respectively.

The differences remain when incorporating other guarantees. In life insurance with permanent total disability, the minimum price for 100,000 euros of capital is 54.33 euros at 30 years with ASISA Vida, 86.92 euros at 40 years with AXA, 221.87 euros at 50 years with AXA, and 644.15 euros at 60 years with MetLife.

In other modalities, the insurers with the most competitive premiums change. MetLife presents the lowest prices in professional disability at 40, 50, and 60 years, while AXA records the lowest premiums in life with permanent total disability and double capital for accident at 40 and 50 years. At 60 years, the lowest premium for this last modality corresponds to MetLife.

Prices according to coverages and insured capital
The analysis by Piensin compares four ages —30, 40, 50, and 60 years—, three insured capitals —100,000, 150,000, and 200,000 euros— and six modalities of life insurance. These include from basic death coverage to options with permanent total disability, professional disability, critical illnesses, or additional capitals for accidents.

The prices come from simulations carried out in October 2026, updated to October 13, 2026, for non-smoking individuals, without declared pathologies, with professions and activities without special risks. The amounts are presented as indicative annual costs. For the simulations of 60 years with capitals of 150,000 and 200,000 euros, the semiannual amounts have been multiplied by two to obtain their equivalent annual cost. The prices are subject to the assessment and acceptance of each insurer.

Piensin reminds that, in addition to the price, it is important to compare the conditions of the policies, especially the definitions of disability, the exclusions, and the additional capitals included in each modality.
