The French insurer CFDP Assurances has appointed Cristina Gutiérrez as the highest responsible for the Spanish market of ESDP, the brand with which the French group will start its activity in Spain, the company communicated this Thursday.
From her new position, Gutiérrez will take on the mission of launching and developing the brand's presence in the country, relying on a legal protection model aimed at companies, self-employed individuals, professionals, startups, and other specific groups.
The new director has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance field and risk management. For the last eight years, she has served as managing director of the Federation of Associations and Organizations of Insurance Brokers and Brokerage Firms of Spain (FECOR).
Throughout her career, Gutiérrez has driven various sectoral projects: she was the founder of the consultancy Risktorisk, participated in the launch of AIGRYS, was part of the board of AGERS, and has developed teaching activities in business schools and specialized forums. Her professional journey has been distinguished by her presence in the "40 under 40" list of the Spanish insurance sector and in the ranking of the most influential women of Grupo Aseguranza.
In the academic field, the head of ESDP in Spain has postgraduate training in finance, has completed the executive development program at IESE Business School, and holds the RIMAP and RIMAP Advanced certifications, granted by FERMA.
"Spain is a market with great potential for our legal protection model. The evolution of the legal framework and the increasing commitment to formulas that favor amicable conflict resolution reinforce the relevance of a prevention and agreement-based approach, like the one we propose," stated the general director of CFDP, Christophe Boiton.
"ESDP represents a way of understanding legal protection with which I fully identify: close, preventive, resolutive, and very oriented towards truly accompanying. I deeply believe that preventing and finding dialogued and amicable solutions is the best way to protect people and companies," indicated Gutiérrez, for her part.
