The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, held a series of meetings this Wednesday in Brussels with former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, with the head of the Government of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babis, and with the president of National Rally, Marine Le Pen, who conveyed to him "all the success he deserves" ahead of the general elections on November 29.

During his visit, Abascal participated in a joint meeting with the leaders of Patriots for Europe, focused on "shared priorities" regarding "borders," "security," "economic competitiveness," and "national sovereignty," as indicated by Vox.

After the meeting, Le Pen made explicit her support for Abascal ahead of 29N, emphasizing that Vox has managed to "conquer the hearts of Spaniards" and that they could "participate" in a future Executive, according to a text she shared on the social network 'X', reported by Europa Press.

In the same vein, she stressed that "Spain occupies an essential place in Europe: its voice matters to defend the sovereignty of our nations and the freedom of our peoples."

The meeting in Brussels comes after the gathering held in Ceuta between the president of the Patriots for Europe group in the Eurochamber, Jordan Bardella, and Abascal. On that occasion, Bardella "questioned the immigration policies of Pedro Sánchez's Government due to their consequences for Spain and the whole of Europe."
