The mayor of Badalona (Barcelona), Xavier García Albiol, has been designated as the head of the PP list for Congress for the Barcelona constituency in the general elections scheduled for November 29.
The popular formation has officially announced the candidacy this Saturday through a message on 'X', where they refer to Albiol as a "high-profile signing for a Spain that needs people with clear ideas".
The Badalona councilor already indicated this Friday, in statements to the media made in Elche (Alicante), that he was willing to collaborate with his party on any task that "is compatible with the mayoralty".
