The former president of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont appears this Tuesday starting at 18:00 hours from the House of the Republic, in Waterloo, in his first public statement after the Supreme Court has annulled the national arrest warrant that weighed against him.
The former president intervenes accompanied by the former councilors Toni Comín and Lluís Puig, affected by the same judicial decision.
The appearance comes just a few hours after the Constitutional Court has estimated by seven votes to five the appeal for protection of Dolors Bassa and has corrected the interpretation that led the Supreme Court to exclude from the amnesty the embezzlement linked to the procés.
The decision forces the Criminal Chamber to issue a new resolution on Bassa according to the criteria established by the guarantees court.
