The general secretary of PSOE-A, María Jesús Montero, defended this Saturday that "moderation is not a label for a campaign; it is demonstrated by governing," and reproached the president of the Junta de Andalucía and of PP-A, Juanma Moreno, that "he has chosen something else: to turn the demands of Vox into PP policies."
Montero made these remarks in a message on her profile on the social network X, where she responded to statements from the general secretary of PP-A, Antonio Repullo. In an interview with Europa Press, Repullo expressed his confidence in "the stability" of the agreement signed between the PP and Vox to sustain the current Andalusian Government, and defended the "solidity" of Juanma Moreno's Executive, of which he stated that "it is not going to change" its way of governing "from moderation."
In response to these statements, the socialist leader maintained that, "since the elections, Moreno Bonilla's PP has shifted further to the far right in every pact, every decision, and every declaration," and that "it no longer sets limits to Vox," to the point that "it adopts their framework, executes their agenda, and normalizes their discourses."
In that same vein, Montero accused Moreno's PP-A of having ceded to the far right "the resources of the courts for gender violence, the units that assess the risk of victims and their legal assistance."
Moreover, she denounced that the current Andalusian Government "is dismantling the Democratic Memory, extending the agreements to the Baccalaureate, and allowing (Manuel) Gavira -- Andalusian leader of Vox and second vice president in the Junta Government -- to boast, without complexes, that he would have denied 25 million to care for minors in Ceuta."
María Jesús Montero insisted that "moderation is not a label for a campaign; it is demonstrated by governing. Moreno Bonilla has chosen something else: to turn the demands of Vox into PP policies," and also questioned whether the Andalusian Executive guarantees "stability," considering that, with its alliance with Vox, it promotes a "regression turned into a government program."
To conclude, the general secretary of PSOE-A emphasized that Andalucía "deserves an Executive that protects women, defends public education, preserves our memory, and never uses the vulnerability of a minor as political ammunition."
