The renewed Cercanías app from Renfe has surpassed the threshold of 1.1 million downloads and updates since it was launched on July 30, consolidating itself as a daily tool for consulting data, organizing trips, and managing daily routes.

Renfe has detailed in a statement that the platform gathers around 25,000 unique users per day and an average usage time close to six minutes, a figure that, according to the company, evidences "recurring use and its utility for planning trips."

Among the features most valued by users are the consultation of schedules and real-time traffic information, the possibility of saving regular routes and favorite stations, interactive maps, and customization options based on artificial intelligence, according to the data provided by Renfe.

Since its launch, the app has accumulated 630,000 visits and 160,000 unique visitors, figures that, in the operator's opinion, highlight travelers' interest in the new digital Cercanías services and the tools incorporated to make the journey easier.

The channel has also recorded nearly 13,000 confirmations of transport title purchases, with a special focus on occasional users who buy single tickets and find in the app "a quick, simple, and accessible alternative," while QR codes contribute to a "more agile" experience.

The company emphasizes that this development is part of its strategy to "place users at the center of the design and evolution of its digital services," maintaining a continuous process of active listening to add improvements and new features based on the suggestions received.
