The Congress begins a new session period and faces the final stretch of this XIV Legislature with a digital photo that leaves several readings. The deputies of the Mixed Group, with Podemos at the forefront, lead the narrative on social media. ERC and Junts also manage to be at the top of the table, while the groups of the bipartisanship try to refocus their digital strategy. This is confirmed by the ranking of Poder Digital, the application developed by Vinces that collects and organizes public information about the digital activity of public representatives.
digital power
The application, developed by Vinces, which you can consult at DEMÓCRATA, measures the real capacity, the digital power, of a political actor to connect with voters and lead the public conversation on X, Instagram and LinkedIn, expressed on a scale from 0 to 100.
The index is obtained by applying the RIO formula (Regularity, Interactions, and Originality), which weighs key aspects of their digital presence: the size and quality of their audience, the impact of their messages, and recent activity. Check the live ranking here.

Nationalism gains strength
One more week, the Mixed Group, made up of Podemos, BNG, UPN, Coalición Canaria and Compromís, is at the top of the table. A good part of that result is explained by the push of Podemos, a formation that since its origins has made social media one of its main spaces for communication and mobilization.
But the high digital activity is not limited to the supporters of Podemos. The communities linked to BNG and Compromís also regularly stand out for an interaction with their representatives above the average.
Within the investiture bloc, the second best-positioned group is ERC. The republicans have in their spokesperson, Gabriel Rufián, their main asset as demonstrated by the virality of his interventions, both on his own accounts and on those of other users who share and disseminate them. In the case of Junts, although the prominence is more distributed, Míriam Nogueras stands out as a prominent voice.
For its part, EH Bildu achieves an indicator very close to that of the Catalan independents. Within the internal battle in the Basque Country, this data shows that although in the polls the difference with the PNV is minimal, on social media the social verdict is clear.

The new parties
As for the space on the right, Vox maintains the leadership. Those of Santiago Abascal achieve the highest score among the big four parties and place themselves ahead of the PP, despite the Popular Group having many more deputies.
Regarding Sumar, the electoral experience shows that the minority partners of coalition governments tend to bear a greater cost at the polls than the formation that heads the Executive. This happened with Podemos after its entry into the first coalition government with the PSOE, while it is still to be seen what effect Sumar's passage through the Council of Ministers will have on its support.
However, the picture changes when analyzing the Digital Power. The Plurinational Group obtains a percentage higher than that of the Socialist Group, the majority partner of the Government. As was the case with Podemos, the formation led by Yolanda Díaz was born and grew in an ecosystem marked by social networks. A good part of its members also maintain their own recognizable digital profiles, a characteristic less widespread among the representatives of the two major traditional parties.
