The case of Pedro Sánchez's brother continues to generate buzz. In this case, due to the relationship that the former magistrate Luis José Sáenz de Tejada, recently investigated by the National Court, may have had with the "plumber" Leire Díez in the alleged criminal plot organized to pressure the magistrate of the Court of Instruction number 3 of Badajoz, Beatriz Biedma, in charge of investigating the hiring of David Sánchez Pérez-Castejón in the Badajoz Provincial Council.

The plot complicates with the intervention of Los Rochos, a family from Badajoz whose members have appeared in investigations related to drug trafficking, and with the possible relationship of this environment with the former magistrate, whom Leire Díez would have turned to in order to find a way to prevent Biedma from continuing to lead the case.

The report from the UCO, the statements from Judge Biedma, and the more than 90 videos that have been viewed DEMÓCRATA allow reconstructing the animosity that the former judge showed towards the magistrate and examining how he could have related to Los Rochos, always under the presumption of innocence. A legal source close to the case describes that attitude as obsessive and claims that Sáenz de Tejada behaves like a "crazy person" in his attacks on Biedma.

One must go back to Cintia Rocho, who stated before the investigators that the former magistrate Luis José Sáenz de Tejada told her over the phone, referring to Biedma, that "she had to be eliminated" and that "the donkey learns with blows."

This testimony is part of the investigation led by National Court Judge Santiago Pedraz regarding the alleged maneuvers against the magistrate and the connections of Sáenz de Tejada with Leire Díez, Javier Pérez Dolset, and Joaquín Parra.

The former judge had already referred since April 12, 2024, to the appeal for protection from Cintia's brother, Jesús Sebastián Rocho Leal, belonging to the family of Los Rochos, known in Badajoz.

Sáenz de Tejada returned to the matter in successive videos on his YouTube channel, where he dedicated time against Biedma. Videos, in some of which he covered the name of the appellant, Jesús Sebastián Rocho, until on June 8, 2026, he showed the resolution of the Constitutional Court with the name of the affected person in view.

A ruling from the Constitutional Court regarding Cintia's brother

The resolution that Sáenz de Tejada has been showing was the Judgment 73/2021 of the Constitutional Court, of March 18, 2021, published in the Official State Bulletin on April 23 of that year. The amparo appeal 7439-2019 was presented by Jesús Sebastián Rocho Leal against the order of November 9, 2019, from the Court of Instruction number 3 of Badajoz, whose head was Biedma, which had denied the initiation of a habeas corpus procedure after his police detention.

The habeas corpus allows for an urgent judicial review of a deprivation of liberty. The Constitutional Court upheld the appeal, declared the fundamental right of Rocho Leal to personal freedom violated, and annulled the order. The resolution noted that the judicial body had taken an unreasonable amount of time to rule on the request and that, when it did, it rejected it for reasons that affected the substance of the matter.

The ruling did not resolve the criminal responsibility of Rocho Leal for the events that led to his detention nor on other causes that could affect his family environment. Its object was the respect for the judicial guarantees of a person deprived of liberty.

Jesús Sebastián Rocho Leal is the brother of Cintia and the son of Jesús Rocho, identified in Badajoz as a central figure of that family. The Rochos have appeared for years in the judicial chronicle of the province due to investigations that have affected some of its members, including actions related to drug trafficking and violent episodes. These backgrounds affect specific individuals and do not allow attributing criminal behaviors to the entire family.

The report from the UCO also mentions information previously published by DEMÓCRATA about the Rochos and Cintia Rocho. This reference connects the previous journalistic work of the medium with the documentation that investigators have gathered to reconstruct the relationships between different people in the Badajoz environment and the alleged plot.

Biedma and the Rochos

The judicial relationship between Biedma and people from that family was prior to the investigation by Judge Pedraz. Years ago, the magistrate had intervened in proceedings processed in Badajoz that affected members of that environment, including the matter that led to the amparo appeal of Jesús Sebastián Rocho Leal.

The references from Sáenz de Tejada to the appeal began in April 2024, long before the public disclosure of the connection of people from the Rocho environment with the alleged maneuvers against Biedma.

The video from June 8, 2026, is also prior to the communication from the UCO sent to Pedraz on October 7.

From the video to contact with Cintia

According to the account of Cintia collected by the UCO, and after her statements before Judge Pedraz, after watching one of the videos on the Saenz de Tejada channel about her brother's appeal, she joined a Facebook group and left her opinion about the matter.

Later, she received messages from a profile that used the name José García Fernández, who in her opinion, did not reveal his real identity, but did claim to be related to Sáenz de Tejada.

Cintia recounted that the contacts continued and that the conversations turned towards Biedma. According to her testimony, she spoke by phone with the former magistrate on one occasion, and he referred to the judge with the expressions “she must be eliminated” and “the donkey learns by beating.” The woman told the investigators that she understood that there was an intention to implicate her in an action against the magistrate.

The UCO incorporated her version into the reconstruction of the investigated contacts. But Sáenz de Tejada denies it.

The school of Biedma's children

The reiteration of the references to the appeal has been occurring in a channel where Sáenz de Tejada has maintained a campaign of criticism against Biedma, the judge who instructed the case regarding the hiring of David Sánchez in the Diputación de Badajoz.

DEMÓCRATA has counted more than 90 videos in which the former magistrate questions the actions of the magistrate or doubts her impartiality. In some recordings, he appears in a robe, and in others, he directly addresses the judge.

Sáenz de Tejada accuses her of violating fundamental rights, claims that his investigations are based on rumors, and goes so far as to assert that she is “on the verge of indictment.”

In one of the videos he asks her: “Are we getting it? Correct, Beatriz? Have I said any lies, Beatriz Biedma Rojano?”. In another recording, he reproaches her actions with expressions like “you are a lazy person apart from being a violator of rights”.

He also refers to the school that, according to him, the magistrate's children attend and questions her presentation as independent. These references become relevant in light of what Biedma has conveyed to the investigators about the fear that the episodes affecting her daughters and her family environment caused her.

The legal source consulted by DEMÓCRATA considers the persistence of the criticisms, which lasted for years and included direct allusions to the judge's personal life, to be particularly significant.

It is in this context that he places his assessment that Sáenz de Tejada acted obsessively against Biedma and behaved like a “crazy person”.

A good part of the criticisms focus on the instruction of the case of David Sánchez. Sáenz de Tejada questioned, among other issues, the interpretation of a financial declaration from the brother of the President of the Government that raised doubts about an amount exceeding one million euros.

This initial reading of the documentation included in the UCO reports was later discarded as a line of investigation, once the scope of the financial information was clarified, and Biedma did not include it in the conclusions of the instruction.

The connection with Leire Díez, Dolset, and Parra

The UCO report places Sáenz de Tejada in the environment of Leire Díez, Javier Pérez Dolset, and Joaquín Parra, former president of the Club Deportivo Badajoz. The investigators are examining their communications and meetings to determine if there was a coordinated action against Biedma and if this was part of an alleged criminal organization.

In one of his videos from September 2026, Sáenz de Tejada acknowledges that he met with Leire Díez in an apartment on Diego de León street in Madrid. According to his own version, the objective was to provide her with public and legal documentation to end Biedma's judicial career. At the same time, he maintains that he does not believe anyone in the PSOE would ever use that material.

In another recording, he claims that he had prepared a lawsuit against the judge and that he offered it to Pedro Sánchez so that the president of the Government would take action against her. These statements place the documentation about Biedma and the possibility of promoting legal actions against the magistrate at the center of the contacts that the former magistrate acknowledges having maintained with Díez.

The UCO asserts in its report that the alleged criminal organization would have had as its ultimate goal to protect the interests at stake due to a series of judicial cases affecting the PSOE, directly or indirectly, certain members of the Government or its president.”

The investigation seeks to determine what role each of the implicated played and whether there was a coordinated strategy to intervene in judicial proceedings that affected the party or the Executive.

The investigation of Pedraz

Sáenz de Tejada has been summoned as an investigated party by the judge of the National Court Santiago Pedraz to testify on October 28 in the case regarding the alleged maneuvers against Biedma.

Possible crimes of criminal organization, coercion, defamation, and against moral integrity are being investigated. The former magistrate denies the accusations and questions the conclusions of the UCO.

The case must clarify whether the communications and actions attributed to Sáenz de Tejada were related to the alleged criminal organization or if they responded to individual initiatives.

The documentary chronology begins on April 12, 2024, when the former magistrate already referred to the amparo appeal, and extends to the video of June 8, 2026, in which the name of Jesús Sebastián Rocho Leal became visible.

According to the testimony of Cintia collected by the UCO, one of those videos preceded her intervention on Facebook and the contacts that she later recounted to the investigators. The scope of that connection and the role it may have played in the alleged maneuvers against Biedma are now part of the judicial investigation.
